  I had a lot of good teachers and a lot of bad teachers. I’ve had great memories with my friends and some teachers taught me importance lessons and gave me many opportunities. Though I feel like most of the staff don’t actually care about their job. They will punish students for breaking the smallest rule with a detention, and fail to punish students who broke more important rules enough. Teachers also fail to treat everyone the same way. Students who generally are less behaved get treated poorly even if they are behaving. They claim to care about the students but really don’t. I can’t count how many times I’ve been punished as a class for something only a small group of kids were doing. I’ve also felt like teachers often put students down by telling us how terrible we are at a subject, when they themselves fail to teach the subject. I’m sick of having the teacher lazily assign us a passage or article to read, then have us answer questions for it expecting us to learn. They don’t realize that students have to learn in so many different ways. I feel as if schools are purposely trying to torture us with boring lessons and endless work and make us dumber with their confusing ways of teaching. Teachers often blame our bad grades on just us. They never consider that it could be their teaching methods that affect our grades as well. I feel like I’m not treated like a human being, and at most, I’m treated like a dumb little kid who doesn’t know better.
  I want to help change this school and make it better in so many ways, but I feel like I don’t ever have a say in my school. The only way I could have a say is if I join student council, but that’s just one big popularity contest. Im glad there are still good teachers and reasonable kids to make my experience better.
